Cedric Brunner has joined Schalke 04 on a two-year deal.

Schalke 04 have snapped up 28-year-old right-back Cedric Brunner on a two-year contract.
Brunner’s contract with Arminia Bielefeld expired following the club’s relegation from the Bundesliga last season, and he was therefore free to join Schalke as a free agent.
“Cedric gives us more options on the right side, both defensively and offensively,” said Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder.
“Against the ball, he is a highly reliable supporting player, strong in one-on-one duels and a very reliable defender overall. And on offense, he can create danger with his good pace.”
Brunner featured 27 times for Bielefeld in the Bundesliga last season.
