Bild reports that Donyell Malen is now expected to stay at Borussia Dortmund for at least the rest of the season.
Malen has previously been linked with a move away from Dortmund in January, but a move this month seems unlikely unless something extraordinary happens.
It’s reported that there have been no offers for Malen so far, and Dortmund would like him to stay and compete for places up front despite the arrival of Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United.
At the same time, the arrival of Ian Maatsen on loan from Chelsea has been a welcome addition for the 24-year-old, who now has a fellow Dutchman in the squad.
Malen joined Dortmund from PSV for a reported €30 million fee in 2021.
