As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are getting closer to finding an agreement with PSG over the signing of Nordi Mukiele.
As previously understood, after capturing Eric Dier from Tottenham, Der Rekordmeister set their sights on a right-back and identified Mukiele as a potential target. While Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey has also been on Bayern’s radar, Mukiele has always been the preferred option.
Now, confidence is growing that a deal will be made for the former RB Leipzig defender after positive talks with the record champions. The move would consist of a straight six-month loan, with the Bavarian outfit covering 100% of Mukiele’s wage.
The 26-year-old is hoping for a return to the Bundesliga and would offer further depth to Bayern’s backline. With Noussair Mazraoui currently on international duty, Mukiele would be able to slot straight in on the right of Thomas Tuchel’s back four, but he also has the versatility to cover at centre-back if needed.
