An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has come to the fore online this evening.
The name of stopper Carvajal has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the white half of the Madrid divide across the day to date.
This comes after panic set in across Los Blancos’ fanbase, upon word surfacing that the veteran right-back had been forced to sit out team training.
Carvajal, for his part, is fresh off a Man of the Match display, which saw him dazzle en route to a goal and two assists in Real’s Supercopa de España semi-final downing of Atlético.
With Barcelona lying in wait in the competition’s finale this coming Sunday, the prospect of being without such a pivotal figure in turn came as an understandably worrying one for all associated with the capital heavyweights.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Friday evening is anything to go by, however, then the Real faithful need not fret.
As confirmed by the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, citing club sources, Carvajal will be available for selection for El Clásico:
