Napoli make ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Lazar Samardzic in attempt to beat Juventus

Napoli do not wish to involve themselves in an auction in the Lazar Samardzic saga and have put forward a take it or leave it offer for the Serbian midfielder.

Juventus have now also firmly joined the race for the Udinese midfielder and Il Mattino today have reported about some details from Napoli’s front in the developing saga, which now also involves Roberto de Zerbi’s Brighton and Hove Albion.

While Juventus have pushed hard to beat Napoli, Brighton’s interest is currently only pushed by the player’s agents and the interest from the Seagulls isn’t as genuine as the agents leak that it is. Samardzic will have to make a decision about his future in some days and it will be between Juve and Napoli.

Aurelio de Laurentiis doesn’t intend to be caught up in the competition and as a result, he has made a renewed salary offer for the 21-year-old. They have offered a salary in the upwards of €2 million in the hope of receving Samardzic’s approval, with an agreement with Udinese already in place. This is Napoli’s last offer and they are ready to move on, if Juventus manage to seal the deal and if Hamed Traore arrives from Bournemouth, a move for Samardzic will be all but dead.
