As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have sent a formal bid to Serie A side Genoa for Radu Drăgușin in an attempt to hijack a deal from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Romanian international has agreed personal terms with the Premier League side who have been monitoring the defender for some time.
However, Bayern are now attempting to hijack the deal in the eleventh hour by submitting a bid for the 21-year-old.
What’s more, Bayern’s bid is slightly higher than Spur’s offer. Ultimately, the Premier League club remain confident that the deal will get over the line, but it’s now up to the defender to choose between Bayern and Spurs.
It’s believed that Genoa have accepted both bids from each club.
As previously reported by GIFN, Drăgușin had previously preferred a move to the Bundesliga and Bayern but no offer at the time had come in.
It’s now a choice between the two clubs as the transfer tasks yet another twist.
