As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have identified PSG defender Nordi Mukiele as a possible target this January.
It is understood that Mukiele, who has previously starred in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig, is keen on returning to Germany. Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel also believes that the 26-year-old is the ideal candidate to cover at right-back and centre-back.
However, for a deal to be struck, PSG would have to find a replacement for Mukiele before the end of the window. Despite having only featured ten times in all competitions this season for the French champions, Mukiele is considered to be a useful squad player for the Parisians.
As well as this, the two clubs would have to agree to the terms of the deal. As of yet, it is not clear whether Mukiele’s potential signing would be a straightforward six-month loan or whether Bayern would be able to negotiate a future purchase option.
With Der Rekordmeister looking to sign defensive reinforcement during the winter window, Mukiele appears to be a suitable option. Nevertheless, Bayern have identified Eric Dier and Radu Drăgușin as other potential targets.
