Napoli see Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno as a potential replacement for Genoa star Radu Drăgușin.
While Napoli did have a draft agreement with Genoa for Dragusin but they are yet to offer what the Rossoblu want. Tottenham though, have made a new offer and there is a feeling that the Lilywhites could already have sealed the deal and Napoli may be prepared to drop out, as Spurs’ offer carries a lot of financial might.
Il Mattino (via TMW) have reported that Napoli believe that the deal is now a tough nut to crack because of Spurs’ strong offer and Plan B is being looked at, with Drăgușin said to be more interested in a switch to Tottenham right now.
A name on Napoli’s list is Buongiorno, who is valued at €25 million right now by Torino. Napoli feel that the asking price is currently too much but he remains of interest. Another name previously on the club’s shortlist was Eric Dier but the belief is that his wage demands will be too much for the Partenopei to afford.
