Borussia Dortmund have informed Raphaël Guerreiro that the Bundesliga club would be open to selling the Portuguese left-back this summer despite a desire to remain at the club, according to Sport1.
The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract but is happy in Dortmund. He and his wife, Marrion, are settled in the city whilst their three kids grew up in the Ruhr area and speak German.
However, Borussia Dortmund would like to sign Hoffenheim’s David Raum this summer but for that to happen, BVB must sell one of Guerreiro or Nico Schulz. With Dortmund open to a sale, they would expect to receive around €20m for the Portugal international, which can then be invested in Raum.
Per Transfermarkt, Guerreiro missed 17 games in all competitions last season due to various muscular problems and a positive Covid-19 result.
Another candidate for a departure this summer is Manuel Akanji. Inter Milan are ready to make an offer up to €30m for the Swiss central-defender, who has one-year remaining on his current deal and won’t sign a contract extension.
