In his most recent press conference, Eddie Howe commented on rumours linking Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães (26) with a move to PSG in the January transfer window. Reports from TNT Sports Brazil indicate that PSG would be interested in signing the former Lyon midfielder in the winter window.
Speaking for Newcastle’s FA Cup clash against Sunderland, Howe commented on the rumours saying, “When you are talking about your best players you want to keep them at the football club as long as possible so that is certainly our aim”. Howe remained coy on the prospect of losing Guimarães but did not deny that there had been any interest shown in the Newcastle midfielder from the Ligue 1 champions.
More incomings at the Parc des Princes
Despite completing the signiing of Lucas Beraldo, more incomings are to be expected at the Parc des Princes, according to Fabrice Hawkins. These reinforcements are likely to arrive in defence with Milan Škriniar suffering an injury which could see him out for the season. However, Gabriel Moscardo’s pending transfer to PSG is on hold due to an injury meaning that they could also look for more options in midfield.
