Speaking to media, RB Leipzig head coach Domenico Tedesco has commented on the future of Bayern Munich and Manchester United target Konrad Laimer.
“Konni is our player and that’s how I plan the whole thing,” said Tedesco.
According to Florian Plettenberg, there’s been no movement in the negotiations with Bayern Munich due to Marcel Sabitzer wanting to remain at the Bundesliga champions.
The Austria international will start pre-season with RB Leipzig and won’t put pressure on DFB Pokal champions to leave as Laimer wants to avoid potential problems and remain professional.
It was reported last week that Laimer has a preference to join Bayern. The 25-year-old is also Julian Nagelsmann’s desired player for central-midfield in his system with Bayern valuing the midfielder at around €20m, but are yet to make a bid.
After joining the Bundesliga side from RB Salzburg in 2017, Laimer is entering the final year of his contract after signing an extension in 2020.
