Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has responded to speculation that Manu Koné could be heading for the exit door.
“Of course we’re prepared for anything and are constantly monitoring the market, that’s part of this business,” Virkus told Bild.
He added that despite the reported interest in the French midfielder, Gladbach have yet to receive a concrete inquiry about him.
With Koné under contract until 2026, Gladbach are under no pressure to sell, but Koné’s agent is said to have expressed his client’s desire to move on.
Juventus and Napoli are believed to be among the suitors for the 22-year-old, who has a reported price tag of €35 million.
