Luís Campos has left Celta Vigo after a year and a half in his role as sporting director, report AS.
“RC Celta and Luis Campos are parting ways,” the Galician club said in a statement published on their official website.
“RC Celta would like to express its gratitude to Luís Campos for the work he has done over the last year and a half and wish him great success in the future.
“The departure of the Portuguese will not affect the imminent sporting planning with a structure that will be led by the incorporation of a new Director of Football, with a different role and model to Campos, as he will be permanently present on a day-to-day basis.”
Campos, 59, arrived at Celta in the spring of 2022 under Carlos Mouriño and the daughter of the honorary president, Marián, has decided to allow the Portuguese leave six months before the end of his contract on 30 June 2024.
