Serie A giants Juventus and Milan are at risk of a fine, if they fail to participate in the European Super League.
A22 have brought out a new version and format of the Super League, after it was ruled that UEFA’s hinderance was not in accordance with law. The new format is more open and has no fixed teams. Real Madrid and Barcelona were the flag bearers of the competition for the longest time.
Sport in Spain (via TMW) have reported that both the Spanish giants could be handed a bonus of €1 billion due to their loyalty to the project. The opposite could happen for the clubs that backed out. Those are Atletico Madrid, Milan, Juventus and the six Premier League clubs – Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
A fine of €300 million could be imposed on them, if they fail to join the new format and in case of their non-participation. This does not apply to Inter, who had not fully completed the process to be part of the competition back in 2021.
