Young Aleksandar Pavlovic has received plenty of praise for his performance in Bayern’s win over Stuttgart.
With Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka both out injured, 19-year-old Aleksandar Pavlovic made his second senior appearance in Sunday’s 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart.
As both his coach and teammates noted, the young midfielder made a good impression, distributing the ball well in central midfield and setting up Bayern’s third goal from a set piece.
“We can’t praise his performance enough today,” Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel said after the game, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.
“We showed today that he has our confidence. Let’s not get carried away. He played a very good game today.
“When Aleks struggled a bit with the physicality in the first part of the game, the others helped – then he grew into the game and was dominant like the rest of the team.
“His set pieces were good. I’m very happy for him, he trains well, he’s a great guy, his heart is in the right place. He did so well,” Tuchel told reporters.
Thomas Muller spoke in the same vein as his coach.
“Pavlo’ does not do everything right, but it is no surprise to me that he can play like that. You can see he can do it. I am a fan of Pavlo,” Muller told Sat.1.
