Robert Lewandowski’s Barcelona future confirmed

A fresh update on the future of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this evening been provided.

Lewandowski, of course, currently finds himself in the midst of a concerning stretch of individual form.

All told, the Pole has found the net just once in his last six appearances, en route to an eventual defeat at the hands of Girona earlier this month.

Numbers aside, though, it is the all-round play being displayed by the veteran striker which has given rise to unrest amongst Barcelona’s fanbase.

Lewandowski is consistently struggling to link up with his teammates in the final third, a central factor in the Blaugrana’s recent dip in form.

Such woes have seen calls swiftly spread for the former Bayern Munich man – now 35 – to be moved on, either in January or next summer.

If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, however, then those hopeful of Barca bidding farewell to ‘Lewa’ any time soon need not get their hopes up.

As per a report from Onda Cero’s Alfredo Martínez, since backed elsewhere in the press, the Camp Nou brass have no intention of parting with their only natural goalscorer next summer.

Lewandowski is therefore expected to stay put for at least the remainder of the current term, along with the 2024/25 campaign, too.
