Milan have suffered a torrid time with injuries this season. 20 out of 27 players in the first team squad have been subject to one or more injuries this campaign.
The latest injuries are causing problems for the January market. Rade Krunić has fallen out with the club and they would like to get rid of him in January. As reported by Daniele Longo, with injuries to Tommaso Pobega and Noah Okafor, Milan cannot afford to offload Krunić, despite the fact that his relations with the Rossoneri have broken down.
Ismaël Bennacer is very likely to be called up by Algeria for the Africa Cup of Nations which is yet another complication for the midfield area. This means that the club’s hunt for a new striker will be postponed to the summer.
Milan risk exiting the title race unless they can come up with a quick solution in the transfer market. Having just been knocked out of the Champions League, they cannot afford to have their season end altogether.
Milan’s next game is against Salernitana on Friday. Currently nine points behind Inter, they cannot afford to slip up.
