Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund are looking at left-backs for the winter transfer window to improve the position.
Real Madrid’s Fran Garcia and Manchester United’s Sergio Reguilón are options with the latter currently on loan from Tottenham. Reguilón has a clause in his loan agreement with United meaning he can cut the loan short if he wishes to do so, this would open up an option for a loan move to Dortmund if the 26-year-old wishes.
A temporary move for Reguilón makes more sense for Dortmund and this falls in line with what Ruhr Nachrichten reported as Dortmund want a player similar to Julian Ryerson who can play as both a right-back and left-back as the club aims to integrate Tom Rothe to challenge Ramy Bensebainin more once he returns from his loan at Holstein Kiel in the summer.
Despite this, it still does not address the squad’s right-back issue with Edin Terzic relying on Marius Wolf and recently using Thomas Meunier against RB Leipzig.
