The local Leipziger Volkszeitung reports that RB Leipzig, with his transfer finalized, have already made preparations to bid Emil Forsberg farewell on Saturday.

Emil Forsberg’s transfer to the New York Red Bulls has reportedly been signed and sealed. The local Leipziger Volkszeitung reports that the 32-year-old’s German club have completed the paperwork to send the Swedish international to America’s MLS this coming January. Forsberg will join the RB system sister club on a new deal good through 2027.
The local paper reports that a proper send-off is being planned for Forsberg this coming Saturday during Leipzig’s final home fixture of the current calendar year. The 86-times-capped Swedish international has been playing in Saxony since 2015, making 329 competitive appearances and scoring 69 goals.
