Roma midfielder Renato Sanches has recently stated that someone might have cursed him, amidst a raft of injury issues.
The Portuguese midfielder had joined Roma in the summer on an initial loan deal, but the Giallorossi have an option to buy the player permanently if certain conditions are met. But Sanches has faced a host of injuries, with Jose Mourinho also previously having been vocal about the issues.
Sanches obviously wasn’t involved for Roma against Fiorentina but just when the players were emerging out of the tunnels for the second half, the Portuguese was spotted speaking to former Lille teammate Jonathan Ikone. The cameras caught the duo speaking to each other and La Repubblica report that Sanches has spoken about the possibility of a curse being put on him.
When asked by Ikone about his physical condition, Sanches se said: “I don’t know, someone probably put a curse on me.”
The outlet goes on to say that Sanches has, in the past, sought help from a shaman to potentially solve his physical problems. The shaman is said to be Parisien and was working with the midfielder during his time in France and it isn’t known whether they’re still working together or not.
