Paris Saint-Germain have announced via their social channels and website that Luis Enrique’s side will wear Korean language name-sets on their shirts when facing Le Havre away from home tomorrow. The move is intended to be an hommage to the growing popularity of PSG in South Korea thanks to the signing of Kang-In Lee.
“Since the arrival of Kang-In Lee, Paris Saint-Germain have witnessed a growing interest from fans South Korea, marked by an increasing number of fans at the Parc des Princes (+20% in one season) and on the club’s social networks (+22,000 subscribers on X and 35,000 on Naver), placing the club in 3rd place among the most followed football clubs in the country,” wrote PSG in an official statement.
The club is also organising a gathering in Seoul to follow the match against Le Havre, which should commence at 21h in local time. More than 1000 fans are expected to turn up to the event.
Kang-In Lee has played 10 matches since his arrival at the club in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, and has scored two goals – registering one assist with Les Parisiens so far.
