RB Leipzig have released an update on the shoulder injury suffered by Xavi Simons against Manchester City.
The entire RB Leipzig team held their breath when Xavi Simons was forced off after landing awkwardly on his shoulder in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Manchester City.
Fortunately for Die Roten Bullen, scans have now revealed that the Dutchman didn’t suffer any serious injury.
“An MRI scan performed in Leipzig on Wednesday revealed that Xavi Simons didn’t pick up a high-grade structural injury in the Champions League game away at Manchester City on Tuesday evening and he will be back available for RB Leipzig soon,” said RB Leipzig in a statement.
Simons has played a key role for Leipzig since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, scoring six goals and laying on nine assists in 20 appearances.
