Lazio are having a disappointing season and on the back of a poor 2-1 defeat against bottom of the table Salernitana, Maurizio Sarri questioned whether he should be continuing as manager.
But as reported by Gazzetta, Claudio Lotito is not even thinking about changing about managers. Of course results have to change and that starts with the Champions League game on Tuesday against Celtic.
Whilst Lazio are not doing as well as they’d like in the league, they are mounting an impressive Champions League campaign. They currently sit second in their group and are in a strong position to qualify to the last 16. A home win against Celtic would almost confirm their progression to the knockout stages.
Lazio will not be able to field their strongest lineup against the Glaswegian side, with Matias Vecino suspended as well as a number of injuries to deal with.
Sarri has the backing of his president, now he has to deliver with results.
