Serie A outfits Atalanta are keen to sign loanee Charles De Ketelaere on a permanent basis.
According to a report by Daniele Longo, Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been delighted with the performances of Charles De Ketelaere since he arrived at his club this summer on a loan from Milan. The manager is expected to convince the management to sign the Belgian permanently during the next summer transfer window.
La Dea paid around €3 million as a loan payment to Milan to land the 22-year-old and with just 11 games of the season in, he has played an influential role amongst the Atalanta ranks while scoring once and assisting twice. The right to buy is set at €23 million plus €4 million in bonuses and the Bergamo-based side are exploring their options now to activate it.
The Rossoneri would still be handed a loss even if their Serie A counterparts buy the former Club Brugge player as they invested a staggering €35 million in him last summer. The attacking midfielder failed to make an impact with The Devils but has made a solid start with Gasperini’s team.
