Mergim Berisha faces a long spell on the sidelines after tearing his ACL.
TSG Hoffenheim will be without Mergim Berisha for several months.
The Bundesliga side confirmed on Friday that the 25-year-old striker will require surgery after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in training.
“This is bitter news. Mergim has been getting better and better lately and has shown that he can be a strong option for our attack,” said Hoffenheim’s head of professional football Pirmin Schwegler.
“Of course, we will support Mergim in every way possible to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible,” Schwegler added.
Hoffenheim paid €14 million to sign Berisha from Augsburg last summer.
