According to Relevo, Sergio Ramos is likely to miss the Seville derby in La Liga on Sunday.
Ramos has missed Sevilla’s last three games – in the Copa del Rey against Quintanar, in La Liga against Celta Vigo and in the Champions League against Arsenal – through injury.
Seven days ago, Sevilla head coach Diego Alonso spoke about Ramos and a possible appearance against Real Betis. “We’re not going to rush any deadline, but he’s not ruled out by any means. He’s feeling fine, but we have to look at the timescales set by the doctors and the recovery workers,” the former Uruguay boss said.
Despite having a calf problem, Ramos is expected to push until the last minute in an attempt to play, especially as he knows that, after the derby, there is an international break where he could regain full fitness.
However, it now appears that the former Real Madrid captain will miss the clash with rivals Betis as Sevilla look to climb up the league table.
