RB Leipzig booked their ticket to the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 2-1 away win over Crvena Zvezda on Tuesday night.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, Emil Forsberg was pleased with the win, but lamented Leipzig’s lack of efficiency in front of goal.
“Great atmosphere, great stadium, great fans. We played a very good first half in which we found solutions, but we should have scored more goals,” Forsberg said, adding:
“In the second half, we weren’t calm enough and were too sloppy in creating our own game. They’re good, it wasn’t easy here.
“We need to be calmer in the attacking third – we just need to score goals, then everything looks completely different.”
Forsberg and Leipzig will now turn their attention back to the Bundesliga, where they face Freiburg this weekend.
