Following Sunday’s draw for the third round of the 2023/24 DFB Pokal, dates and kickoff times were finalized by the German FA on Wednesday.

The 2023/24 DFB Pokal Round-of-16 will kick-off with the highly anticipated duel between 2. Bundesliga sides 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1. FC Nürnberg. The two tradition-rich clubs will take the early kickoff on Tuesday, December 5th. Lautern-Nürnberg shall be among three fixtures – the top tier duels between Gladbach-Wolfsburg and Stuttgart-Dortmund being the others – available to the German public on free public television.
Public broadcaster ARD will supply coverage for the first two. ZDF shall bring a team to Stuttgart to handle the third. Each day will feature two 18:00 and two 20:45 kickoffs. After the round-of-16 concludes on Wednesday, December 6th, the DFB has also confirmed that the quarterfinals are also scheduled to take place in the midweek buffers between round 19 and round 20 of the current league campaign in late January/early February.
