Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips would be interested in the possibility of joining Juventus, who are considering signing the Englishman.
Juve have been linked with a move for the ex-Leeds United man, as they are likely to find troubles in landing Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Arsenal’s Thomas Partey. It was reported yesterday that Juve have made enquiries about Phillips already.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW) state today that during their recent visit to London, Juve directors Giovanni Manna and Cristiano Guintoli met people from the Stellar Group, which represents Phillips. Juve have now received the 27-year-old’s approval regarding a move in January.
City have also opened up to the possibility of letting the England international leave, as they would move the player on to a non-English rival. Juve would like to sign Phillips on loan as that would allow them to sign another player in the window.
Guintoli and Manna returned to Turin with a good deal of optimism about executing a deal for the midfielder, but more evaluations about a move will be made.
