Bayern Munich will be sweating on the fitness of Jamal Musiala after he was substituted in the 40th minute against Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
Musiala sat himself on the grass after a pass from Harry Kane and immediately signalled to the bench that he had to be replaced. The 20-year-old went down clutching his left thigh, presumably a hamstring injury. That of course means that Musiala will be a doubt for Bayern Munich’s game against Heidenheim on Saturday, and could even miss Germany’s games against Turkey (November 18) and Austria three days later.
Bayern are perhaps lucky that after the game against Heidenheim, there’s an international break so Musiala may miss just one game for the Rekordmeister and return for the match against FC Köln on November 24.
Musiala has been a key player for Bayern Munich this season and has established an excellent understand with Kane in such a short timeframe. In 11 games across the Bundesliga and Champions League, Musiala has scored four and created three.
