Here is our preview of Wednesday’s Champions League group stage clash between Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, including predicted lineups.
Fresh from an impressive 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich will look to maintain their perfect record in the Champions League this season when they host Galatasaray at home on Wednesday.
The Bavarians had to fight for a 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture in Istanbul to put themselves on nine points at the top of Group A, five ahead of second-placed Galatsaray.
This means that Bayern can seal their place in the Round of 16 if they can beat the Turkish champions again on Wednesday night.
Matthijs de Ligt and Raphael Guerreiro are the only absentees for Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel.
Joshua Kimmich, who served the first match of his two-game suspension in the Bundesliga against Dortmund, is available and expected to start, probably in place of either Leon Goretzka, who only returned from injury at the weekend, or Konrad Laimer.
Galatasaray will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, due to a shoulder injury.
