VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness is hopeful that Serhou Guirassy will be able to make his comeback from injury against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The Guinea international scored 14 goals in his first eight Bundesliga games this season before suffering a hamstring injury.
With recent scans showing that Guirassy is on the mend, Hoeness is not ruling out the possibility of having the striker fit for the weekend.
“The picture was good,” Hoeness told Kicker, referring to the latest scan.
“Everything is on track. That’s why it’s possible to target the Dortmund game.”
Whether Guirassy will be able to come off the bench or even start against Dortmund will be decided later this week. He returned to individual training last Friday.
