Christoph Freund didn’t hold back with his criticism after Bayern’s 2-1 loss to Saarbrücken.

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund didn’t mince his words after the German champions’ shocking 2-1 defeat to 3. Liga side Saarbrücken in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday evening.
“I don’t understand how you can play such a bad first half,” Freund raged in an interview with Sport1.
“No guts, no tempo, no aggressiveness – you can’t compete with an opponent like that.
“In the end, Saarbrücken’s win wasn’t undeserved. The disappointment is huge!”
Bayern last won the DFB-Pokal in the 2019/2020 season. They were eliminated by Freiburg in the quarterfinals last season.
