Kimmich given two-match suspension

Bayern Munich will be without Joshua Kimmich against Borussia Dortmund and Heidenheim as the midfielder will be suspended for two league games after his sending off against Darmstadt.

Joshua Kimmich will be suspended for Bayern Munich’s next two Bundesliga games following his red card against Darmstadt, the German Football Association has announced.


The midfielder will miss Bayern’s league games against Borussia Dortmund (this Saturday) and Heidenheim (November 11).

Kimmich will be able to feature in Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal match against Saarbrücken.

The Germany international saw red early on against Darmstadt after losing possession to Marvin Mehlem before bringing him down in front of goal.
