As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Dani Olmo is expected to be sidelined until the new year after picking up a shoulder injury against FC Köln. The Catalan winger separated the acromioclavicular joint between his collarbone and shoulder blade shortly after coming off the bench in RB Leipzig’s 6-0 win at the weekend.
Olmo has only made three appearances this season after he picked up a knee injury while away on international duty in September. Leipzig manager Marco Rose described Olmo as “an irreplaceable key player” and that “we will have to continue together without him until just before Christmas.”
Olmo will likely miss all of Leipzig’s remaining Champions League group-stage matches, as well as Spain’s upcoming international fixtures against Cyprus and Georgia in November.
