Juventus make contact with agent of Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski

Juventus continue their search for a midfielder as they circle around Napoli man. 

According to a report by Radio Marte via TMW, there have been contacts between Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and the Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski’s agent Bartolomej Bolek in recent days.

After losing Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli to legally imposed restrictions, the Old Lady are now looking for options in the market to strengthen their midfield. The contacts between the Polish midfielder and the Turin-based club are said to be primary and things are yet to materialise. 

As of now, the 29-year-old Partenopei man is waiting for his club to offer him a contract extension as his current one expires next summer. However, he will be forced to consider other possibilities if the Scudetto holders decide to release him. 

Taking advantage of the standoff between both parties in his contract renewal situation, Piotr Zielinski received a high-value offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli this past transfer window but the player rejected the proposal and refused to join the likes of Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Gabri Veiga there.  The midfielder was also linked with Juve back in the summer but a move didn’t materialise.
