Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali’s agent revealed that his client has begun the battle against gambling addiction amidst an ongoing investigation charging the player with illegal betting.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Italia, the agent of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, Giuseppe Riso announced that the player has initiated the fight against his gambling addiction. He said: “Sandro is shaken but has already started to fight. His most important match against an illness has begun. He will win this match. Sandro’s experience will save the lives of other kids. Thanks to President Gravina for what he said and to Newcastle who are very close to Sandro.”
The former Milan player was indicted along with Juventus’ Nicolo Fagioli and Aston Villa’s Nicolo Zaniolo as they were found by the public prosecutor to indulge in betting on illegal platforms.
The Magpies will support Tonali in every possible way to help him recover from his “illness” as he awaits for a judgement from the court.
