Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Schalke gem Assan Ouedraogo.
The 17-year-old has seen great progress in the last few years and is now being linked with some of the biggest clubs in the world.
The teenager made his debut for the Royal Blues in the 2. Bundesliga earlier this season, thus becoming the youngest player in the history of the club.
He also marked his debut with a goal, though his team lost that match against Hamburg by 5-3.
The versatile midfielder has since been a permanent fixture in Schalke’s squad, making nine senior appearances so far.
His development has reportedly impressed Liverpool and especially their manager Jurgen Klopp.
Reputed journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion are also interested in Ouedraogo, who has a release clause in 2024. The sum is said to be €20 million for foreign clubs.
But AC Milan’s interest is said to be the most concrete at this point. The Italian club’s officials are planning to meet the Schalke bosses this week.
Liverpool added four midfielders to their ranks in the summer, including Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac-Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.

These signings look to have worked brilliantly for the Reds as they have made a good start to the new season.
The Merseyside giants now want to add Ouedraogo who has already achieved much at just 17.
However, they face a tough battle to secure his services with many other clubs also keen on him.
Bayern Munich have been linked with the German teenager so far, while Milan’s interest is said to be the most concrete at this point.
