Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier has made an impressive start to the season, scoring five goals in his first five Bundesliga games, and his performances have reportedly attracted interest from Brentford, Everton and Liverpool.
To fend off interest from his suitors, Hoffenheim are looking to extend Beier’s contract, which currently runs until 2025 and includes a release clause of €20 million, according to Kicker.
According to the German football magazine, Die Kraichgauer want to reward him with a higher salary and adjust the “transfer modalities” as well as “exit scenarios”.
Beier, a two-time German U-21 international, is a product of Hoffenheim’s own youth academy.
He spent the last two seasons on loan at Hannover 96, where he scored 15 goals and added seven assists in 68 appearances.
