Eintracht Frankfurt will be eager to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Wolfsburg at the weekend when they face Greek side PAOK on the road in the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening.
Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller spoke to reporters at his pre-match press conference about his expectations for the game:
“We expect a strong, aggressive team with a loud crowd behind them. It’s going to be a tough game, but also an interesting one, and we’ll go into it wanting to win,” he said.
Eintracht started the group phase with a 2-1 win over Aberdeen, while PAOK overcame HJK 3-2, making Thursday’s game a clash between the top two teams in Group G.
“It’s an important game because we’re up against a team that’s probably fighting with us for the top spot in the group,” Toppmöller said.
On a five-game unbeaten streak in all competitions, PAOK are expected to line up in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation.
Toppmöller is likely to stick with his 3-4-2-1 system, with Niels Nkounkou pushing to start on the left side of defense.
