Anwar El Ghazi has joined Mainz on a free transfer.
Mainz 05 have completed the capture of Anwar El Ghazi on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old attacker has put pen to paper on a contract until 2025 with the Bundesliga outfit.
“With the transfer of Anwar, we have the opportunity to strengthen our attack with a player who has already had an impressive career,” said Mainz coach Bo Svensson.
“His one-on-one skills, speed and desire for the ball will help us a lot. We are very excited that Anwar is joining us.”
El Ghazi last played for PSV. He has also played for Ajax, Lille, Aston Villa and Everton in the past.
