Bild reports that Julian Nagelsmann will be announced as the new Germany coach today at a press conference at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt.
At 12:00 CET, the press conference will begin where Nagelsmann will officially take over from Hansi Flick as Germany coach for Euro 2024. The former Bayern Munich coach is expected to earn around €3.6m in his short spell in charge, while his former club are also set to pay Nagelsmann €1.5m as a severance payment to end his contract at the club.
Nagelsmann’s first game in charge will be on the 14th October when Germany will travel to the US to face the USA and Mexico in friendlies in Hartford and Philidelphia.
The former Bayern coach is expected to bring in Sandro Wagner as one of his assistants. The former striker was a part of the trio that coached Germany to their 2-1 win against France in the previous international break, while his other coaching experience comes with Unterhaching.
