After last night’s 4-3 win over Manchester United, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel said it’s only a matter of time before Mathys Tel gets a start.

As he has done on several occasions this season, Mathys Tel provided spark off the bench for Bayern Munich in their 4-3 win over Manchester United on Wednesday.

Despite being on the pitch for just four minutes, the 18-year-old French striker scored his third goal of the season, taking his goal tally for the season to an average of one every 40 minutes.

Speaking after the game, as quoted by iMiaSanMia, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel spoke highly of the youngster, admitting that he’s pushing for a start.

“We have something going on with him. Every time he comes in, he scores. It’s unfair for him, he deserves to start. But when you have a player who regularly makes such a difference every time he comes off the bench, that’s also an outstanding quality,” Tuchel said.

“He scored a great goal today. Now we have a game every three days, it’s a matter of time until he starts games.”

Bayern’s next match is against Bochum in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
