Barcelona have retained their interest in attacking duo Dani Olmo and Bernardo Silva and could sign them on cut-price deals next summer, claims Mundo Deportivo.
There was intense speculation linking Silva with a move to the Catalonia capital during the summer transfer window, but once again, a deal failed to materialise.
The Catalan giants hoped to bring in the Portuguese forward as a replacement for Ousmane Dembele, however, Manchester City’s expensive valuation poured cold water on Barca’s chances.
Moreover, Silva put an end to the speculation over his future by inking a new deal with the Premier League champions.
Nevertheless, Barca are said to be keeping track of the former Monaco star, and more importantly, they are pointing to the release clause in his new deal.
The 29-year-old’s new deal runs until 2026 and contains a definitive release clause worth €50 million, which is significantly lower than what Man City demanded for him during the summer.
Despite being heavily leveraged, the Blaugrana put in maximum efforts to placate their financial crisis in the summer and will continue to improve the situtaion.
The Catalan giants found ways to bring in high-profile players like Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo amid their dire economic situation in the summer, and they can repeat the trick with Silva.

Silva’s age may look as a concern, but Barca’s transfer policy in recent times has heavily relied on the seasoned campaigners.
For instance, Barca splurged out around €50m to bring an ageing Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich last year, but he repaid the trust by leading the Catalan giants to the La Liga title last season while finishing as the league’s top scorer.
On the other hand, Olmo has long been linked with a return to his boyhood club, and his red-hot form might interest Xavi to go all out for him next summer.
The 25-year-old also penned a new deal with RB Leipzig after a summer full of speculations, and his current contract carries a release clause worth €60 million.
Manchester City could prove to be a tough competitor for Barca as they tried to sign him in the summer window, however, the Catalan giants have the edge because of the Spaniard’s preference to join them.
