According to Fabrizio Romano, Georginio Wijnaldum is set to sign for Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq from PSG. The Saudi Pro League club will pay €10m for the former Liverpool midfielder. Wijnaldum has already signed a three-year deal to move to the Gulf State club.
The Dutch international has completed his medical ahead of his move to Al Ettifaq. Steven Gerrard is responsible for bringing the former Newcastle United midfielder to Saudi Arabia and he will join his former Liverpool teammate and captain Jordan Henderson who made the move earlier in the summer transfer window.
Moussa Dembélé has also made the switch to join the Gerrard-managed club this summer. Wijnaldum has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes and has spent the summer training away from the first team with the “loft“. The 32-year-old made 38 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 3 goals and assisting a further 3.
