Nottingham Forest have finalised a deal with Chelsea for the signing of Callum Hudson-Odoi, reports Fabrizio Romano.
While agreeing personal terms earlier, Forest have received the green light from the West Londoners on the deadline day of the transfer window.
Romano adds that Hudson-Odoi will undergo his medical tests on Friday morning.
Fulham appeared to be the frontrunners for the English forward, but after they turned their attention towards Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos, Forest swooped in.
The Blues put Hudson-Odoi up for sale after deeming him surplus to requirements.
Being at Chelsea for his entire career, Hudson-Odoi has failed to make a desired impact since his jump to the first team, falling short of expectations massively.
His loan stint at Bayer Leverkusen last season also didn’t go quite the way, as he failed to nail down a regular spot in Xabi Alonso’s set-up.
Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino made it clear to Hudson-Odoi that he was not in his plans after excluding him from first-team training.
Hudson-Odoi will be hoping to revive his career in his new chapter with Forest.
He will be one of many players expected to move to City Ground on the deadline day, with Forest working on their deals.
Forest have reached an agreement for the signing of Bologna midfielder Nicolas Dominguez, and an official announcement is likely to be made today.
Meanwhile, Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares is also expected to complete his loan move to Forest.
As for the departures, Brennan Johnson has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Nottingham recently announced the signing of young Brazilan defender Murillo from Corinthians in a deal worth £15 million.
