Negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Eintracht Frankfurt over a potential move for French international forward Randal Kolo Muani are still ongoing, according to a report tonight from L’Équipe.
The former Nantes man has been a long-term target for the Ligue 1 champions this summer, and has now ostensibly emerged as their priority signing in the final ten days of the transfer window.
The 24-year-old scored 21 goals and registered 17 assists in an impressive first campaign on the other side of the Rhine last year, and is already off the mark for this season..
Having seen their first bid for the World Cup finalist rejected, PSG were preparing a new €70m proposal at the start of the week, according to Le Parisien – short of the Bundesliga side’s €80m valuation. According to L’Équipe, their first written offer consisted of €60m as a base fee along with €10m in bonuses. The 2022 Europa League winners had already turned down a €70m+€10m offer from Manchester United.
A new round of talks with the French side is scheduled for tomorrow, while Eintracht Frankfurt are aware of the need to make a final decision on Kolo Muani’s future soon enough. Luís Campos was hoping to include Hugo Ekitike in a potential deal, but the former Reims man wants to look at his options elsewhere.
