L’Équipe journalist Loïc Tanzi is reporting that Turkish club Beşiktaş have opened discussions with Arsenal over the signing of Rob Holding (27).
The former England U21 international joined Arsenal from Bolton in the summer of 2015 and has since gone on to make 162 appearances for the Gunners. However, the Englishman could leave the Emirates Stadium this summer. Tanzi is reporting that Beşiktaş have opened discussions over a transfer. However, according to Foot Mercato, the Turkish side aren’t the only interested party.
The French publication is reporting interest from Stade Rennais. The Breton club could be in the market for a centre-back before the end of the window with Arthur Theate (23) attracting interest from Liverpool, Fulham and RB Leipzig. The latter are interested in a loan deal with a €30m purchase option. Holding features on a shortlist of potential replacements, alongside Manchester United’s Victor Lindelöf (29) and Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sánchez (27).
