According to Foot Mercato, Nice are pushing to sign American full-back Sergiño Dest from Barcelona before the transfer window closes. The former AC Milan loanee is now surplus to requirements at Barcelona, and the Blaugrana will listen to loan offers for the player.
PSV Eindhoven are also thought to be in contact with the La Liga giants and reports in Spain believe that the Dutch club are in pole position to sign the former Ajax man. The current negotiations ongoing between Les Aiglons and Blaugrana concern the percentage of Dest’s wages that Nice will pay. Le Gym had previously agreed personal terms with Wolves’ Rayan Aït-Nouri but were unable to financially complete a deal for the Algerian international.
Dest’s most recent move away from Camp Nou was with AC Milan in Italy. The loan move wasn’t the most successful for the American though – he only managed 632 minutes of game time in Lombardy during his 14 outings. Nice are also thought to be facing competition from English clubs for the loan signing of Dest.
