Stephan van Nocks of Germany’s Kicker Magazine and Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany both report that Bayern right-back Josip Stanisic has a medical scheduled in Leverkusen this weekend.

Reports emerging yesterday regarding the future of Bayern’s Croatian fullback Josip Stanisic suggested that both Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer 04 Leverkusen were interested in taking the 23-year-old in on loan for the season. Leverkusen expert Stephan van Nocks of Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that Leverkusen have acted quickly and scheduled a medical for the Munich-native.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Germany’s red company team have already reached a full verbal agreement with the 11-times-capped international. Germany’s “Sport Bild” tabloid also confirms the Sky and Kicker reports. The German tabloid further notes that the loan arrangement will not include a purchase option. Bayern wish to retain Stanisic’s services for the future.
